We created a summer lacrosse skills clinic and are opening it up to Spring Lake Park youth lacrosse players. Ian Pollard, the SLP High School lacrosse coach, will be leading the clinics. The 8U & 10U will be grouped together and the 12U & 14U will be grouped together. Each group will be capped at 22 players.
The skills clinic will be Mondays and Wednesdays from July 8 through July 29 from 5:45 pm - 6:45 pm. at SLP High School. A current/active US Lacrosse membership required. Cost will be about $70. Equipment will be available to borrow, with a deposit. Details will be emailed to those that are signed up.
We have a few spots open if you'd like to join, please sign up here: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSeEbp-Rl0Md4q_1iTFSLQN0qg-t58suAIo0auR8uI_KaqtHWQ/viewform
After much consideration and in the best interest of our members and community, the board has made the decision to cancel the 2020 spring lacrosse season.
We will be issuing a full refund of your registration fee (which will be credited back to the credit card you used in SportsEngine; if you paid offline we will send you a check). Our goal is to have your refund processed by May 15th. If you prefer to donate all or a portion of your registration fee to our non-profit association, please send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org before April 22nd. We will follow up with an acknowledgement letter for your tax purposes. The $30.00 US Lacrosse membership fee (paid outside of the SLPYLA registration process) is non-refundable.
While we are saddened by the decision to forgo the spring lacrosse season, we hope to still be able to provide other opportunities for your child to participate in lacrosse once the social distancing requirements are relaxed. We are thinking of and looking into possible opportunities to do that. Stay tuned for further information.
